A Losing Battle

Here's a scenelog written up by my boyfriend, Grayson. Nine declared it the hottest thing she's ever read. I happen to like it a lot, and hope y'all do, too.

Content: m/m, D/s, humiliation and degradation, chloroform roleplay via hypnotic suggestion, hypnotic subspace, impact play, hair pulling, freezing.

Spiral Turquoise's Counting Game

There's this game I play when I'm topping for impact play.  Nine, Grayson, and Sam all agree that it is completely wonderful and that I should do it pretty much whenever we play.  Kenji and Petal, after the first time they watched me play with Nine, complimented me upon how delightfully nasty it is.

I call it Spiral Turquoise's Counting Game.

Because I'm egotistical like that.

The game is simple:

The top has at least two different impact implements.  They should be distinctive from one another for some reason or another; perhaps one is stingy and the other thuddy, perhaps one is flexible and the other is rigid, perhaps one is thin and the other is wide. (Combinations that I like using: wood paddle/belt, wood paddle/crop, dowel rod/glowstick, rubber paddle/dowel rod)

The bottom must then count the blows - keeping a separate count for each implement.

The game continues until the bottom makes a mistake on either count, or until a pre-arranged minimum count has been reached. The bottom receives a punishment (in the form of a flurry of had strikes, too quickly to count easily; or a switch to a different implement; or some other punishment), and likely also verbal degradation (if the bottom enjoys name-calling and humiliation, their failure to count higher is good material for indulging that kink).

The top can increase the difficulty and disorientation of this game by keeping track of the bottom's particular counting abilities.  I have found that keeping the numbers close to one another (8 strikes with the belt, followed by 7 strikes with the paddle, followed by another 4 with the belt) adds to the confusion, although a particularly long series of strikes with one implement can also obscure the memory of the other implement's count. Quickly switching, or varying the length of time between switches, can also increase the difficulty.

If the bottom becomes particularly adept at the game, a third implement can be added to further increase the difficulty.

The goal of the game is to create a situation in which the bottom either cannot win, or can only win with great concentration and effort.   The disorientation provides a challenging mental exercise, while the nearly inevitable failure condition creates an opportunity for humiliation play.  A pre-agreed number of correctly counted strikes can yield rewards for the bottom; perhaps the bottom gets to enjoy their favorite sex act if they can successfully count to 30 on one implement.  (That said, even reaching the 20's has been incredibly difficult for everyone that I have played this game with.)

Multilingual bottoms can decrease the difficulty by switching languages (Grayson has found that he lasts longer when he counts one implement in English and the other in Korean).  Tops who do not speak the relevant language should pay close attention, listening for repetitions, hesitations, or other signs that may indicate failure.

Now, clearly, this is not a game to play with bottoms who don't like the feeling of failure, or who have bad associations with frustrations.  This is primarily for bottoms who enjoy a mental challenge or who enjoy struggling only to fail; extra bonus for bottoms who enjoy being humiliated, degraded, reprimanded, and insulted for a quantifiable failure.

Updates in the Life of Spiral

Hi all!

I've learned a very valuable lesson: declaring what I'm going to blog about next does not, in fact, increase my productivity.  The opposite, in fact, as it keeps me from posting things that I am actually inspired to post.

This was the case with the promised post about my scenes at the play party following my most recent hypnosis demonstration.  I procrastinated, didn't have the energy, or didn't have the time, for several weeks; then, I got further behind because there were other posts that I wanted to write, but I didn't want to upset the chronology.  And now, I am confident that I will not be able to write that post any time soon.  I hope to cover those scenes someday, but it won't be able to for a while.

That said, I have a whole lot of other things that I do want to blog about.  And I'll be talking about some of them now!  And it'll be awesome!  And chronological order will be going right out the window. :)

One thing to talk about is that I've recently reached a rather cool milestone: I have hypnotized 50 different people so far!  This counts any hypnosis sessions that I have done in person, by phone, by voice chat, or by video chat.  Video chat has been the medium I have used most often lately - my schedule is leaving far too little time (at least for my liking) to hypnotize people in person, while I have found my video chat schedule more flexible.

With that said, I am going to use the rest of this post to talk a little about my current group of online partners, all of whom are very cool people! And also about another truly wonderful addition to my life: my new girlfriend, Nine.

Georgie/Sam: Georgie has requested that, from here on out, I refer to him as Sam, which is the name he currently goes by in all contexts.  "Georgie" was a name that he found useful for a while, but it is no longer a good name to use for him.  Anyway, Sam and I have stayed in touch even though we currently live in different states.  We've recently begun playing online by voice chat, and it's quite good!

Pet Ferret: I've also been keeping in touch with Ferret!  Pet Ferret has come out as genderqueer, and as such uses xe/xir for pronouns now.  Xe and I have played over video, and over text, and it's been cool!  Xe still preens with pride that my post about xir is the most well-received one that I've written.  :)  And we also talk pretty much non-stop via IM and text about awesome nerdy things and random funny things (usually things that involve copious usage of the words "cock" and "vagina").

Sluggish Twitch: Twitch is a completely awesome lady that I encountered in a Fetlife chatroom.  She's a gorgeous nerdlady who likes Freakazoid, and Transformers, and Batman.  She also has a robot fetish that lines up with mine exactly.  So she and I do a ton of robot play, and her robot voice is really excellent, and her robot posture is even hotter.  She's also learning hypnosis herself!  I'll probably post an account of one of our scenes that she wrote up for me.

Sacred Lioness: Sacred is another lady I met in the same chatroom as Twitch!  She is a fantastic subject who blanks out very hard.  She freezes so well that I have to remember to give her the suggestion that she's allowed to blink!  She's up there as one of the most naturally susceptible hypnotees that I've worked with.  She also works with another hypnotist, and has gotten to explore the fetish from playing with me, playing with him, and watching me play with Twitch.  On a few occasions, I've scened with her and Twitch at the same time, and it's been grand!

sleepingirl:  sleepingirl is a rather awesome lady who burst onto the Fetlife Erotic Hypnosis group a few months back, making a lot of topics, but not looking for partners or friends.  As such, I did not approach her at the time, although she seemed cool.  Rather, she approached me, because she read my blog and thought I was cool.  Since then, we've started playing a lot, and flirting even more often.  She enjoys humiliation, and teasing, and I make sure she gets her fill of each any time she scenes with me.  It helps that the toy/puppet/doll language that I enjoy so much happens to push her humiliation buttons HARD.  She runs her own hypno-sex blog over at sleepingirl's blog (linked over on the sidebar on the right!), which has some astoundingly sexy writing.  She's got a blog post or two about me coming up soon, as well...keep an eye out for them. :)

Sarona Silverwolf: Gee, my list of online partners has quite a bit of alliteration...anyway!  Sarona is another lovely lady, who in fact looks so much like Pet Ferret (well, their eyes look very different, but) that I did a double-take upon seeing her on cam for the first time.  Well, since then, Pet Ferret has cut xir hair into a mohawk and dyed it "flamingly homosexual" in xir own words, so the resemblance is less strong.  BUT ANYWAY, Sarona had a fair amount of hypno-kink experience.  She has a little trouble accepting triggers, but I've been working with her and have had more success getting them to stick.  :)  My scenes with her mostly focus on blank-and-happy kind of feelings, with some mild pleasure, and they're very relaxing to do.  She also has a boyfriend that she does hypnosis play with, and I get to watch the two of them play on occasion!

Scaramouche Black: The lucky #50 herself, Scaramouche is my most recent play partner.  She's tremendously charismatic, and enjoys a good blanking, and we're looking forward to doing some role play and bodily transformation suggestions.

Playing so much online has gotten my creativity working.  I've developed several signature hypnotic routines as a result!

  • Puppet Strings: The hypnotee feels marionette strings all over their body, and feels limp and loose and totally supported and held up by those strings.  The strings then move their body into position in order to obey any orders I give.  All agree that it's a fascinating sensation, and very fun to experience.  It even has a little bit of bondage undertone, which is appreciated by many.
  • The Three Pronged Hypno Beating:  Mentioned in the last post, the Three Pronged Hypno Beating involves a trio of hypnotic triggers - one for a flogger across the back, one for a spanking on the rear, one for candlewax anywhere the hypnotee likes it.  It's a favorite of all the masochists!  Sam and Sacred like the flogging in particular.  I can switch up the specific sensations to a hypnotee's preference, but this particular trio is the one I've adopted as my standard.
  • Inevitable Mantra: Upon hearing a trigger word, the hypnotee feels a compulsion to say a mantra out loud ("Obedience is pleasure" is the one I usually use).  The compulsion gets stronger until they say it.  As soon as they say it, they feel a wave of blankness and mindlessness and bliss wash over their mind, making them feel more obedient and docile afterward.  Since following a posthypnotic suggestion involves going into trance, this also means that any pleasure triggers that I use immediately afterward become much stronger!  Which is handy. :)

Perhaps the most important and cool change in my life is that, as of today, I now have a girlfriend!  I will be referring to her on this blog as Nine.  Nine is an anomaly among people I've played with, in that she is not into hypnosis.  In fact, she is rather squicked by the idea of being hypnotized.  Rather, Nine is an asexual masochist.  When I met her, she was looking to try out impact play, protocol, and role play with D/s dynamics.  I grew to have a very strong affection for her, and we tried tying each other up at a local event on bondage.  Afterward, I asked if she wanted to get together for bondage practice sometime, to which she said yes.  Then, I asked if she would like to do some impact play while we did so...and she was incredibly excited at the prospect.

My affection for Nine is such that I rejoice whenever I can make her happy, and I can do that by hitting her (safely!) and dominating her in our role plays. Our interpersonal relationship is very important to me, and I've found that I utterly adore our impact play sessions (both for the euphoric joy that it brings her, and for the visceral, physical joy of hitting someone until I'm tired). She is a wonderful part of my life, and I'm proud to be her boyfriend and her impact play top.

We're also fully polyamorous, though.  Meaning that I'm still scening with all of the above people, and some in-person play partners, and other people that I've met online.

Nine has her own blog, Lyrical Agony, also linked on the sidebar on the right.  Her writing is quite fascinating!

Life is good!
